Bootstrap 5
Convivial for GovCMS contains a full implementation of the the worlds most popular theme framework, Bootstrap 5.
Convivial for GovCMS includes a Bootstrap 5 based theme which allows the rapid development of sites based on that framework. New sites built on the platform can take advantage of a complete set of editor friendly components which have been designed to be responsive and accessible.
Convivial for GovCMS is an excellent choice for Australian Federal Government agences wishing to get the benefits of the GovCMS platform but also enjoy some creating freedom to represent their agency in the way most appropriate for their branding requirements. Adopting the theme will save the time and expense by avoiding the implementation of a lot of the core features of the site.
AuDS no longer officially recommended
It is worth noting that the Australian Government Design System is no longer officially supported by the Digital Transformation Agency (DTA). It is no longer a recommended theme to use for new website builds. For agencies wishing to have a more customised look and feel for their site, Bootstrap provides a non opinionated starting point which can be adapted to the design requirements of the project. The Bootstrap implementation for Convivial for GovCMS can therefore be considered a starting point, or blank canvas onto which designs can be added.
