Morpht unveils Convivial for GovCMS (CivicTheme) at GovCMS Mega Meetup 2022

Morpht has long been a strong advocate of GovCMS and design systems, championing the benefits of known stable patterns for building websites. Through the utilisation of components and design patterns, vast efficiencies can be attained. Website implementations can then focus on what is unique in the project's requirements. Why reinvent the wheel when there are more important problems to solve?

Morpht has distilled its know-how into Convivial, a starter platform for Drupal builds. Convivial focuses on reusable components and editor-friendly tools to build out flexible and attractive sites. Over the years we have extended its capabilities to include personalisation and AI integrations to deliver engaging user experiences.

Convivial currently supports the following design systems:

• NSW Design System,
• Bootstrap 5,
• CivicTheme.

In the past it has supported:

• Australian Government Design System
• GOLD,
• Health Design System,
• Bootstrap 3.

CivicTheme is the richest and most opinionated design system Convivial has been adapted to. CivicTheme ships with a set of components which are suited to building attractive sites quickly.

We have developed Convivial for GovCMS over a three-week period and have managed to integrate many useful components and approaches which define Convivial. We look forward to working with it more in the future and contributing to its progression as an open-source project.
